“Chad and Lindsey were the best! Not only did their knowledge of development regulations save me time, but also increased my densities! They took the time to walk the property, consider the setting, neighbors, access and coordinated the process with surveying and platting. Terra Design Group was my guide through the entire process, from conceptual planning, surveying, required studies, entitlement hearings and final plat…and they didn’t miss a beat!”

I have worked with Chad Bala of Terra Design Group on numerous advisory boards and committees. Watching his interaction and abilities with city, county and state planning and land use staff prompted us to use his firm as land use consultant toward our Grant County project of Columbia Bluffs. Terra Design Group has provided valuable and specialized insight toward approvals of this project. Columbia Bluffs is a new and innovative concept of rural Central Washington development which required extensive education of the permitting agencies. Chad and Terra Design Group were instrumental in helping develop and convey this information toward preliminary and final plat approval. I would recommend Terra Design Group for all your platting and land use issues.

Columbia Bluffs- an innovative rural development
I would like to take some time to thank Chad Bala of Terra Design Group for all of the hard work that has been done for our various developments that we are planning throughout Kittitas County. His background as a county planner and his intimate knowledge of the state and local laws governing this process is the primary reason that we have been as successful as we have been. In addition he has an ability to foresee issues on the horizon which allows us to meet them head on with solutions. Thanks for all of the help.

As a Kittitas County Commissioner I remember when we hired Chad Bala. He did his homework and was always prepared for our work sessions and Commissioner meetings. I also worked with Chad at Terra Design for nearly 3 years in the private sector and found him to be a very competent and ethical seasoned professional. Terra Design was also a key part of a legislative effort to pass legislation that I sponsored that allowed private entities to design and run reclaimed water systems. I trust his knowledge and admire his work ethic.

“I have worked with Chad Bala, of Terra Design Group, for over ten years and believe he offers some of the best consulting services in Central Washington. In his profession, Chad has worked on “both sides of the counter” having worked for County Government and as a consultant, which provides him with a unique perspective in dealing with government officials. As an individual, Chad is one of the hardest working, honest people you will ever meet. If I won the lottery, I would have Chad hold the winning ticket for me until I decided what I wanted to do.”

“Chad, of Terra Design Group, is an effective and well organized project manager/planner. I have worked with him for over 5 years on many complex projects and he has successfully managed all the issues in a time and money efficient way to get the project approved. I would highly recommend him as a project manager for any development project.”

I have been constructing plats based on Chad’s, of Terra Design Group, designs for 3 years. In working with him, I have come to respect his ethics and follow-through. When he has completed the planning and design of a plat, you can be sure all of the necessary background work has been done such as storm water, county permitting, and coordinating the survey in a timely manner. He always knows the CC&R’s, easements, etc. for every plat and attends meetings and hearings related to the plats he is working on. In addition, Chad has great concepts for lot, road, and house placements within his plats. Working with Chad makes my job easier.
